Have you ever wondered what would happen if for one day, you decided to stop and really connect with others around you from the community? We all fill our schedules, and hurry along to where we have to be, but on Saturday October 8th from 10:30 a.m. To 2:30 p.m. We invite you to slow down, perhaps even stop and have a conversation with someone you have never met. It's easy enough to wonder if there are more people out there to connect with in a meaningful, purposeful ways, but quite another surprise to find how many are just like you. Lets make this day a beautiful moment in the Second annual Burning Cicada festival picnic. This is an invitation to the community at large to enjoy a day of free music at the Macqueen Forest Preserve in Kirkland Il. Bring a picnic lunch or dinner for yourself to enjoy while passing the day with other local independent Musicians and Artisans. The Preserve is, a walk in park that does not permit alcohol or outside firewood. Macqueen as many other of our DeKalb Forest preserves, is always quietly accessible for moments of sharing and solace. There are trails on the acreage as well as the connecting Potawatomi Woods.
